ÎÞÓǶÌÊÓƵ is excited to announce its of the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS®) Cardiac Society.
The ERAS® Cardiac Society is a non-profit organization with the mission to develop evidence-based expert consensus statements promoting best practice recovery practices. Through collaboration, education, and dissemination of knowledge, the ERAS® Cardiac society aims to provide enhanced guidance and educational tools for the reduction of post-operative complications and costs after heart surgery.Â
The society recently published this outlining their recommendations for an optimal Cardiac ERAS® program. One of the 22 recommended interventions is to use a digital patient engagement platform such as ÎÞÓǶÌÊÓƵ, to deliver standardized ERAS protocols and to collect ERAS-related Patient-reported Outcomes (PROs) such as pain, opioid consumption, and patient compliance.
Furthermore, ÎÞÓǶÌÊÓƵ has consistently improved clinical outcomes for cardiac surgery. Cardiac centers using the platform have seen significant reductions in patient length of stay, 30-day readmissions, and costs. For example:
